Gunnedah Bird Sale and Expo 2008
The Gunnedah Bird Sale and Expo has been going for 10 years and has grown to be the biggest sale in Australia.
2007 SALE! Best sale ever held. 4881 birds, 255 exhibitors, 33 trade stands, 18 bird display tables. Huge crowd as usual. Well in excess of 3,000 people showed up. About 60% clearance of birds. The splitting of the birds and the trades stands into separate halls was a great success. Trade stands opened as early as 7.30am which allowed people plenty of time to browse before the bird sale commenced at 10.00am. People came from Cairns, South Australia, Melbourne, Tasmania and right across NSW. The social BBQ was well attended on the Saturday night with over 350 people gathering for a great social night.
